The Polymex® & Enviromex® wide range of crystal clear, clear, heat sealable, peelable, metallised, PVDC, anti fog and white PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) films are ideally suited for packaging applications. The surface of these films offer excellent adhesion to typical inks & adhesives (self-test recommended). The Polymex® & Enviromex® range of PET Films are 100% recyclable as they are constructed of the same polymer PET chip resin as a coke or water bottle. The Enviromex® PW12R is made of over 20% post consumer waste and is 100% recyclable. In addition the food contact approval allows the Polymex® & Enviromex® range of PET Films to be used in direct food contact. The Polymex® & Enviromex® range of films are available in gauges between 12 micron to 250 micron.

The Ecomex® range of clear PLA (Polylactic Acid) films are ideally suited for packaging. The surface of these films offer excellent sealability (self-test recommended). PLA is a general purpose plastic which is an industry standard in packaging, printing, graphic arts, overlays, and many other applications. The Ecomex® range of clear PLA films are made from corn starch, and therefore are 100% biodegradeable and home compostable. In addition the food contact approval allows PLA to be used in cartons containing foods. The Ecomex® range of clear PLA films are primarily available in 40 micron.

BIODEGRADABLE OPP / CAST PP
They have all the physical properties of OPP and are thus suitable for printing and use on most types of packaging machinery. However, on disposal they will break down to CO², water and organic bio-mass with no organic harmful impact on the environment.

PLA FILMS / NATUREFLEX
These are films manufactured from organic matter, such as corn starch, or in the case of Natureflex Eucalyptus. As a consequence they are sustainable and naturally degradable. Despite their high costs and somewhat differing environmental credentials these films are available from Natural Flexible for specialist applications.

CHALK BASED FILM
Based on a unique blend of chalk and polymer, this film is probably the most environmentally friendly packaging material currently available. The chalk content is 100% sustainable whilst the lower polymer content gives a significant reduction in oil consumption, carbon emission and energy use. Flow wrap, thermoformed, lidding or FFS applications can all be accommodated.
